I'm pulling my hair out on this one. I've search the list archive, and couldn't find
an answer.

1. Running Redhat 7.2
2. Kernel 2.4.7-10
3. HTDig 3.1.6

After installing, I ran: rundig. The resulting files were:

db.docdb (602k)
db.docs.index (2k)
db.wordlist (8.5M)
db.words.db (9.3M)

I've never been able to get the db.excerpts file created. I even went as far as
setting max_head_length to 0 (so not great excerpts - I believe). I've also manually
ran htdig, htmerge, htnotify, htfuzzy. Even running with -v doesn't seem to shed a
whole lot. When I run htsearch from the command line, it returns: Unable to read
documents excerpts '/usr/local/htdig-3.1.6/db/db.excerpts'

Any thoughts?

Scott
