Could you elaborate on "did not display anything"? Do you see any error messages at all, in the browser or in the web server logs? Do you just get a blank page? Are your template files (usually in the "common" directory) correctly installed and readable by the user ID under which the web server runs? See also http://www.htdig.org/FAQ.html#q5.11 (esp. the last paragraph). The problem that can affect the result template files can also affect the header and footer files, so it's possible you wouldn't get any output at all from htsearch. -- Gilles R.
