i was looking at the syslog.conf and the logger of htdig. i just want to make sure that i am doing the right thing to log users search words.
i need to set the logger option to true in the htdig.conf file and then modify the syslog.conf so that the syslogd will log the search words to a log file. what i am not 100% sure is how to edit the syslog.conf file. i looked at the file itself and from what i gather i should put the name of the program and than the location of where i want to log the information. so, something like: htdig.* /var/log/htdig.log is this correct? i am doing this on a freebsd machine. >The logging uses the system's logging facility.
