Hi Andy, You are right, it didn't work. I saw same error messages from openssl from my Apache server error logs. I guess I need to download the patch.

I've had no luck here, I first tried the ssl patches on 3.1.6 w/ no luck and then tried the 3.2 beta/snapshots and I get a core dump. When I did rundig -vvvvv w/ the patched 3.1.6 I saw it try to talk to my web server port 443 but the error logs showed ssl troubles ("trying to speak http to the https port") and, sure enough, it shows creating an http object. Forcing the 3.2 beta to use ssl (had to add CFLAGS="-DHAVE_SSL" even though it found my open_ssl libs) I could get a 'creating https object' and connect to get the robots.txt file (yea!) but it coredumped on the 2nd connection. This is on Solaris, I'm trying a linux version now. Any help/hints appreaciated. a Andy Bach, Sys.
