I had hoped this might go away with pthread. Perhaps you also need to add
-lstdc++ or something like this? IIRC old versions of gcc/g++ required
adding these, even though they were "standard."

I guess I'd give it a try. Several people have compiled ht://Dig using the
IBM AIX compiler.
