I have been using the swfparser (ana swfdump) program for some time to extract the links embedded in Shockwave-Flash (.SWF) files , versions 1 to 5. It is unable to extract text from .SWF files, but I have never regarded that as too serious.
However, it is not able to parse version 6 .SWF files atall. These have the magic number CWS\006 Does anybody know of a utility which can parse such .SWF files and will run under Red Hat Linux? I had to modify the source code of swfparser before it would compile using gcc 2.96 on Red Hat Linux 7.3 (though the usually finicky IRIX cc did compile it). I can supply my modified source on an "at-your-on-risk, no support" basis to anyone who might want it, but I would much rather learn of a better utility. -- David Adams Computing Services Southampton University ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ htdig-general mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, send a message to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with a subject of unsubscribe FAQ: http://htdig.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html
