Catdoc only outputs plain text, so that even if it did extract the document properties it would be no simple matter to make use of them.
Wp2html only extracts the properties from Wordperfect documents. I could request the author to enhance it to extract Word document properties also, pointing out that this might lead to increased sales to the htdig user community.
