Hi Jim.
Thanks for your suggestion.
I put a index.php file in my /docs directory and also I add the line http://www.blablabla.cl/docs/memo001.doc in start_url directive, so when i run rundig -v i get the next message:

1:11:0:http://www.blablabla.cl/docs/memo001.doc: size = 33792
.
..
..
Deleted, no excerpt: ID: 11 URL: http://www.blablabla.cl/docs/memo001.doc

I think that my .doc's files are not recognized.
Is the problem doc2html.pl?
thanks

I have looked for in the Htdig archive all this afternoon the solution to my problem, but I have not been successful (or maybe i did not luck).
Ok this is my problem

I have a URL http://www.blablabla.cl/docs/ with all my .docs files.

BUT :-( when I run rundig i get the follows message:

...

1:11:0:http://www.blablablacl/docs/: not found
If you open up a browser and enter your starting URL, what do you get? I am guessing that you will receive some sort of "page not found" message. ht://Dig will receive the same response that your browser receives. Unless the /docs directory contains an index file (i.e. index.html or whatever your system is configured to use) or your web server is configured to generate index pages automatically, a URL such as http://www.blablabla.cl/docs/ will fail to map to a page.

You either need to set things up such that there is an index page listing all of the files in the directory or specify each URL individually in your start_url attribute.

Jim
