I use ppthtml 0.5 (from the xlhtml package) to parse
PowerPoint files (via doc2html.pl).

This only works on "older file" PPT formats. In fact,
in my limited testing, if the file is created in
PowerPoint 2000, ppthtml cannot parse it, regardless
of the "Save As" format used.

ppthtml produces "empty files" for the newer PPT
formats...the html generated looks like this:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0//EN">
<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>test-ppt-file.ppt</TITLE></HEAD><BODY>
&nbsp;<br>
<hr><FONT SIZE=-1>Created with <a href="http://chicago.sf.net/xlhtml";>pptHtml</a></FONT><br>
</BODY></HTML>

Anyone have a solution for this? I run htdig on Solaris.

Thanks,
Mark
