To all,

Can HTDig index documents that are not publicly available through the web
server?

I want to write a script that serves the pages and highlights the search
terms. I would like to be able to hide the documents so a user could not
type in the url to the article to view it. I would like them to have to go
through my main page to get at the materials.

Part of the problem is that the search and the site exist on two different
servers. The site is in windows NT, IIS and the search comes from a Unix
server running Apache. I use a PHP script to remotely grab the search
results. I want to be able to index the documents on the IIS server from the
Apache server and still restrict users from linking directly to the
materials.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
