If the redirecting site uses a normal HTTP or HTML redirect, then there's
no problem. You don't mention what your htdig configuration is, but I'd
particularly check your start_url and limit_urls_to settings. The latter
is typically set to the former, in which case it would never get off the
original site.

If that doesn't work, I'd wonder if your redirects are using cookies,
which do seem to be set by that referring site. In this case, it's much
trickier depending on how the linkshare site uses the cookies.
