[htdig] How Does Htdig/search, etc. know where config files live

Hi,

Just double-checking what I think I already know.

Is the location of the config files compiled in to htsearch and co.? If 
so, is there a command I can run that will tell me where htsearch is 
looking for the config files and if not, how does it know where to look?
