Now that html/htdig comes up but cgi-bin/* does not.
Am I allowed to cp it or create a soft/hard link to it somewhere. Or maybe add a .cgi extension?
I don't think there is a problem with moving the executable. There certainly isn't any problem with adding a .cgi extension.
I did both of those and when I do a search form the html page I get what looks like binary output but a lot of it is chinese! Any ideas why?
This sounds like a web server configuration issue. Rather than being executed, the program is being served up as if it were a regular text file. Are you able to run any other CGI programs from the same directory and/or using certain extensions?
