Title: Re: [htdig] Doing htdig for a .htacess protected dirtectory
If you have the ability to do so, set up a user like: htdigrobot
Give him (it) the password: 12345robot54321
Now, modify the htdig line in the rundig script which is located in the bin directory.
$BINDIR/htdig -i -c /htdig/conf/htdig.conf -u htdigrobot:12345robot54321 $opts $stats $alt
Now, when you rundig, it will give that username and password when it reaches .htaccess protected directories.
Don't forget the colon between the username and password. The password must be letters and numbers ONLY, don't try to put a $ in it as this will confuse the script.
Hope this helps,
