For various reasons, you might be better off running something other than what Red Hat provides. For a production server, you should probably drop back to 3.1.6. If you want (or need) some 3.2 beta functionality, a recent snapshot might be a better choice.

I believe Red Hat 9 has a somewhat more recent 3.2 beta snapshot. Since it is a development snapshot, it is hard to say whether this is a good thing or not; sort of depends on the day they grabbed the snapshot. The only version that is currently recommended for production is 3.1.6. Use of the 3.2 series is generally only recommended for cases where new functionality is required (e.g. phrase searching) or people are interested in helping with testing/debugging.
