Hi Jim,

Each time there was an error, it was simply the premature end of script
headers message, and nothing else preceding it since the last time htsearch
was used.

I also uninstalled and reinstalled several times throughout trying to get
htdig to search.

There are still problems trying to install htdig on Red Hat EL 2.1, which
(as Gilles suggested) I've put down to a problem in the O/S, rather than
htdig. Also, as you suggest, I think there was an RPM of htdig installed
already, which has been causing problems. I will need to investigate further
and try and get htdig working on that platform.

Regards,

Rupert

Did you check the log lines preceding this message? Sometimes the
cause of the problem shows up in a separate and earlier log entry.

This sounds a bit suspicious. If you don't come across some other
solution, I would recommend removing your current install and trying
to reinstall from scratch.
