A few more Release 3.2.0b5 experiences ...
ELLIPSES
I noticed that the ellipses which should follow $(EXCERPT) do not appear.
VARIABLE ESCAPING
$%(URL) generates an URL like this: "http%3A%2F%2Fmydomain.org%2F", which results in a
404.
I think the "://" which follows the protocol should not be escaped.
BOOLEAN EXPRESSIONS
Search term
this & that
is treated as a Boolean expression even if the Match method is 'any' or 'and'.
PHRASE MATCHING
Attempts to match a phrase
"this and that" or "this & that"
result in a 500 if the match method is Boolean (users can, and do, leave match
method unaltered if they are trying different options).
Surely match method is irrelevant, and should be disabled, if the user is
searching for a phrase?
Error 500 is not diagnostic, but something must have gone wrong. Our test index
has only 12 short pages.
RESULT HIGHLIGHTING
Matched phrases are not highlighted in the results if they contain "and" or "&".
