Contrary to what I just wrote, htsearch seems to be mistaking the field specifiers for parts of the search string. When I run such searches, the results page includes the phrase
Search results for '(link or linked or linking or linkings or linker or links or linkers) (or something with "title"). So it is interpreting the specifiers as part of the search string, at least some times. It's not clear what effect, if any, the colon after the field specifier is having.
