I am trying to search only part of my site. I created an html file that
lists the documents I want searched. I created a separate configuration
file and specified a separate database_dir directory. In the
configuration file I gave the html file that lists the documents to be
searched as the start_url.
I ran htdig and htmerge (rundig) with this alternate configuration file
and it seems to have worked. When I look at the htdig log file at the
end, I see the following: (which is what I expect)
htdig: Run complete
htdig: 2 servers seen
htdig: www.weizmann.ac.il:80 131 documents
htdig: www.wisdom.weizmann.ac.il:80 3 documents

I created a separate search form that specifies the new configuration
file as the value for the config parameter. The problem is that when I
do a search, I consistently get back that no matches were found.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help.
