I am trying to install htdig on a unix machine with solaris 9 O.S. I have gcc++ and C++ version 3.3 installed in /usr/local/bin which is in my PATH.

When I tried to ./configure I get a message "You will need a C++ library try installing libstdc++". Looking on the internet for libstdc++ library, I found that this library was merged in to gcc. We have a current version of gcc (3.3). I am thinking that libstdc++ library should be a default C++ library included in gcc version 3.3. Why am I getting this message asking me to install libstdc++? I would appreciate your help. Thank You.
