I have been using htdig for about two years now, and most of the time the default settings for "search_algorithm" in the config file are good as is. However every now and again I need to tweak these numbers. I have search all over a few ties and I can find no documentation on what each of these items (exact, metaphone, etc.) mean, and what the range is. I assume the range is .1 - 1. Is there some documentation anyone can point me to that tells me what each setting affects and what the range is? This seems to be something elementary that I hope I have just been unable to find. I know that I can guess what each setting means, but it would be nice to have some documentation. Thanks.
