You need to install an external converter, such as
doc2html, with a utility to convert each type of file. Consult the FAQ at
http://www.htdig.org/,
especially FAQs 4.8, 4.9,
5.2 & 5.39.

Hi, all
How do I index keywords and titles in htdig for the pdf, excel, power
point documents ? I have specified keywords and titles in the document
property for these files, but after I ran the htdig to rebuild its
indexes, I still can not find the documents using the keywords or titles
specified in these files. Please help.
