I found a good way to do it throught the restrict attribute:
File Type: <select name=restrict> <option value="">All <option value=.txt>txt <option value=.pdf>pdf <option value=.ppt>ppt <option value=.xls>xls <option value=.ps>ps <option value=.doc>doc </select>
