Have you tried running htdig from the command line? That would prove whether or not your compilation was successful, which you imply that you are unsure of.
I would also try and get a simple CGI to work first - htdig on windows can be a little awkward sometimes. If you have PERL on your system I would try a little 'Hello World' script, if not look out for a simple CGI that you could download, perhaps a hit-counter?

Subject: [htdig] New to htDig and having a problem

Hello all!  I’ve been trying to get htDig working on my site with some success, but now I’m stumped.

I get the following error whenever I try to run htsearch.exe through IIS:

“CGI Error

The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are:”

I’m running IIS on Windows 2003 and I went through the CygWin build process to get these running on Windows.  I just can’t figure out what the problem could be.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.  This thing is driving me crazy!

Thanks everyone!
