Thanks for the reply. I use doc2html.pl as the external parser, which also
works with pdftotoext and pdftoinfo. I did a search using an obscure word
that was in one of the documents that displayed this error and it was found
by htsearch. So it appears the document is still parsed and indexed. Maybe
someone from the htdig team can throw some light on this error so we know
what it is, and what if anything can be done to eradicate it.

Subject: Re: [htdig] PDF document error

Hi Robert!

I also get a lot of error messages concerning PDF documents.
What i did to make sure was to take the PDF file that
produced the error and run it through the converter
manually to see if it did produce HTML output.
In my case its a perlscript called pdftohtml, that in turn
use pdftotext and pdftoinfo (from xpdf) for the conversion.
I never had a problem converting a document, or viewing it
in xpdf, but i get error messages.

I am not sure, but i think the bad annotation destination
has to do with bookmarks in the pdf document, and not the
actuall content itself.
If you use xpdf, check the xpdf man page.

Best Regards

Now, is there any validity to the rumor that Microsoft is
trying to license
Donald Duck from Disney so they'll have a mascot for Windux?
