I was searching through internet regarding to the robots of web crawling, indexing and storing results in a database. By the way, I found your open source site about data mining software called as ht:://Dig and felt very interested.
In fact the idea is not a new stuff for the internet but it will be first for Turkey. The site like www.pricegrabber.com and like other price comparison sites. I would like to index the products information from several online trade sites and store in them one database. After that, the user should able to compare each products while looking the several stores together.
The project will be non-profitable and only to get easier of selection when someone wants to buy a stuff.
In
conclusion, I have quite low experience on programming languages, only some ASP, VB, HTML and some design stuff. Could you help me to show me the way of doing an indexing service like that ?
Or your ht://Dig can handle this regularly in a specific content ? (Like mobile phone nokia 6681 indexing by terms of prices, specifications, 256 mb ram indexing to a database from different stores and etc..)
