OK, that's Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 3.0  -- I've got an
installation of htdig running on that.

First:  Do GoDaddy allow you to install more software?  This is
generally part of a higher-priced hosting package, not the low or
medium-cost ones.  

Second:  What access do you have to the server?  Is it ftp only, or can
you get ssh access?   If this question is meaningless to you, do you
know someone who can find their way round a Unix filesystem who can help
you?

Third:  Can you handle a text editor?  I don't mean MS-Word or
OpenOffice that deal with paragraphs & fonts, I mean something that only
puts in /exactly/ what you tell it to, such as vi or emacs or even
Notepad.
