The ht://Dig package does not include any special support for automatic
indexing. The typical approach is to write scripts that do what you want
and then schedule them to run automatically with something like cron (or
perhaps launchd if you are running OS X).

The included rundig script is probably a good place to start in terms of
developing custom scripts.
