Hi,

I'd like to do a database application similar in invocation to ht://Dig, i.e. compiled program launched via CGI-BIN mechanisms.

Questions:

a)Are there any good books or websites about this?

b)Are there any gotchas with pipes and all that (I understand that you get an input stream from Apache ... can anything go wrong here).

c)Are there any gotchas with process issues (how Apache terminates CGI-BINs, etc.)?

d)Are there any libraries around to help with parsing GET/POST parameters that are pumped through the stdin stream?

Thanks for any help,
Dave.
