Not sure what to suggest. In theory someone involved with the Fedora  
project created this build, tested it with FC6, and ensured that all  
the appropriate dependencies would be worked out. You might want to  
try uninstalling any htdig files or packages that you installed and  
then check to see if there is still a version of htsearch floating  
around. Since you said you had the same problem with a 3.1.6 build,  
which seems strange for a couple reasons, it might be that you have  
another copy of htsearch lurking on the system that is either  
inappropriate for the environment or otherwise broken.
