Hi - Have you taken a look at http://netmirror.org/mirror/htdig.org/ 
maindocs/files/contrib/guides/Installing_on_Win32.html ? The  
instructions provide some special steps for dealing with sort during  
the build and a section addressing runtime issues involving the sort.
