Hi Jim, htdig,
     I was just testing with that small site. I searched for "index" and
"public" and "quatsch" all of which should give results, (they are on
the web pages) but I get no matches with the htsearch.

I indexed a bigger site www.unitymedia.de, but also cant get any search
results from htsearch.

I checked the database with this..
# strings /root/htdig_quatsch_test/db/quatsch/db.wordlist | grep -i public
public  i:0     l:443   w:557

So It looks like the it has correctly searched and indexed the site, but
I cant get htsearch to work.?

~# /usr/lib/cgi-bin/htsearch -vvv
Enter value for words: public
tempWords: 'public:0 '
Boolean: 'public:0 '
initial: ''
Fuzzy on: public
    exact public
    endings publicness publics publicly
searchWords: '(:0 public:0 |:0 publicness:0 |:0 publics:0 |:0 publicly:0
):0 '
LogicalWords: (public or publicness or publics or publicly)
Pattern: public|publicness|publics|publicly
Content-type: text/html

Enter value for format:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<html><head><title>No match for '(public or publicness or publics or
publicly)'</title></head>
<body bgcolor="#eef7ff">
<h1><img src="/htdig/htdig.gif" alt="ht://Dig">
Search results</h1>
<hr noshade size="4">
<h2>No matches were found for '(public or publicness or publics or
publicly)'</h2>

Im I using the htsearch in the correct way.? should I give a value for
format?

Many Thanks,
Steve.
