Funny you should ask. As I write this, I'm in the process of bundling the
source for the 3.1.2 release. It should hit the server in an hour or two.
The snapshots directory you mentioned is for development snapshots. (See
the README.snapshots, for example.) The 3.1.x series is the latest stable
and the 3.2.0 series is only starting to get going.

I can imagine. I definitely recommend upgrading to 3.1.2. You'll need to
rebuild all your databases (including those generated with htfuzzy), but it
will be worth it.
