results. From previous experience, they're willing to answer questions

No, basically this is the case. But if prefix compression doesn't
actually work, then there's a bug in the Sleepycat code because they
advertise prefix compression and don't offer it. ;-) So we shouldn't be
completely toasted since they should be able to show us how it works.
