Hi,
As of now htsearch/htdig/htmerge are not leaking at all for the
pattern usage of the test directory. Two remarks though:
htdig . is allocating and never freeing the parsers. But that's
intentional.
. is not closing the db file descriptors although calling
the dbp->c_close(dbp, 0) function. I vote for a bug in
Berkeley DB because it shows with the example programs too.
This is not very annoying at present so I chose to ignore it.
Anyone with time is wellcome to try to fix it :-)
htsearch and htmerge are not leaking at all, do not read or write
any byte beyond arrays or strings and close everything perfectly.
I'd be *very* gratefull if people continue writing tests in the
test directory so that we cover more code when running the tests. I'm ready
to purify the test cases as soon as they become available and fix the
problems as fast as I can.
Cheers,
