[htdig3-dev] Using this on a PC

Hi   This is a single user pain in the ass question!  So thank you to anyone who responds.   I have a bought a CD of information ahich, on the net, is searched by htdig:  http://www.netnews.org/bk/index.html   The CD does not come with the search software.  Can I download htdig and use it on my PC and is it straightforward - or should I approach this problem differently.   Thanks   Dave.
