I haven't seen any fix posted for this problem. I almost hesitate to call
it a bug, because it seems to me the problem is sloppy coding of URLs in
the HTML pages. I imagine that the place to tackle it would be in the
URL::normalize() function.
If the problem only occurs on a few sites, you may want to deal with these
explicitly with the server_aliases attribute. That might work.
