Ciao miei cari talponi,

I write you from my home PC, cos this morning, I was not in time to send this message. At this point, I think, we have to change the Retriever class cos, as it is now, it doesn't take a advantage of persistent connections. On every request, indeed, the server changes.

I think we'd better issue a new retrieving system for persistent connections, which should handle the new attribute for the servers (persistent_connections, or something similar). The simplest solution that comes up in my mind, is to keep this system (it's the loop belonging to the condition with 'more && noSignal' in Retriever::Start method) if pcs are not allowed by the configuration, and issue a new one if they are.

In this case I think we have to get the queue empty for every server that supports pcs. And, what about delay? Let me know about this.

I am also very curious about Geoff's External Transport class. But what is it about?

Finally, for Loic, I don't know who is that guy Miguel etc ... I only know about people regarding soccer, and soccer, and soccer. And girls, of course ... ;-)

Have a nice week end

Ciao
-Gabriele
