Dear sir:
I am a student of University of Sciece and Technology in
China(USTC).I am very interesting in ht://htdig and I want to make
it to support Chinese. You know Chinese is something different!
So,I have to make some modification to the original codes.Here I meet
something I can't understand and need your help.
1.In file htdig/HTML.cc there are variables:
static int offset;
static int totlength;
I guess that totlength means "total length",and offset is the
offset of the word in the file,but it seems thing is something
different.So I want to know what they exactly mean(How are they
computed?).
2.In file htcommon/WordRecord.h:
There is a attribute of WordRecord:location,It seems that it means
the location of the word in doc(Actually,I don't know!).Can you tell
me the purpose of this field.(location=offset*1000/length)
