Hi All:

I recently communicated with Andreas Keonig (maintainer of the Perl
Comprehensive Archive Network (CPAN)), inquiring about getting my HtDig perl
modules onto the site. His response was as follows:
..................
I've added HtDig as rootlevel namespace to the database with your name
as contact. Feel free to occupy the namespace but please let others
share if they have the desire to do so.

Thanks,

So ht://Dig developers with perl modules now have a way to post their code to
CPAN if the fancy strikes them.

If you wish to do so, please become very familiar with the recommendations for
posting to CPAN (available on the main site at www.cpan.org). They aren't
restrictive, and actually encourage good programming practices
anyway.

Of course, CPAN isn't always the best place for a perl module, especially if
it's very specialized, but it could greatly increase awareness of ht://Dig to
get some generalized perl modules out there for the community to use.
