That depends on your definition of "support." Right now, all the
error messages and so on are written in English.
But it can index text in almost any language that has a proper locale
setup on your machine and an 8-bit character set. It helps to have
proper affix files if you wish to use the "endings" algorithm, but if
you don't use this, it's a large number.
