Well, you don't need a CVS account immediately. You can do just as
well with using the anonymous CVS access. But the reason you didn't
get a response is because it comes to me and yesterday was a rather
busy day. Furthermore, it looked like you sent me an md5 hash, not a
valid crypt password. Do you have Perl?

This is correct.

The general feeling among the developers is that to do this right, we
should pick a Unicode/UTF-8 library and start from there. There are
several such libraries and they have been changing fairly rapidly--I
haven't kept up much with development of them. Last time I checked, I
think the libunicode library was probably the best, but it's probably
time to reconsider anyway.

The main idea of htdig4 was to rewrite the code in Java. At this
point, the code is dead.
