I'll check on the malloc call, but a general sweep to clean up memory
leaks is on my list to do before the final beta.
As far as exercising the code, it's fairly simple. Point start_url
along these lines:
start_url: file:///home/httpd/html/
Then fire it up--it should generate its own directory indexes and
index everything in that directory (including subdirectories).

That would be a good idea, but I can certainly do it. Judging from
the quote you gave, he intends it to be public domain. But it's still
a good thing to ask anyway. :-)
