I guess my first question is why you NEED to use &. Remember that as
of HTML 4.0, the & character is not recommended for a CGI parameter
delimiter. The standard suggests ';' as an alternative which is being
taken up.
But more detail on exactly what you changed in Display.cc would help.
(For example line 642 varies significantly depending on what version
you're using!)
