OK, this really requires some feedback. But taking a look at my 
recent schedule and my next few weeks, I think it may be appropriate 
to take the current 3.2.0b3 code, clean up some remaining bugs and 
release it.

This means that there will still be two fairly significant pieces 
before 3.2.0, the first is hooking in Quim's new htsearch query 
parser and the second will be a merge with the current mifluz 
backend. This at least merits a 3.2.0b4, but waiting until either of 
these is done would require either someone to step forward to do them 
or pushing back 3.2.0b3 until after the first of the year(!).

I'm going to push to clean up what I can for this weekend's snapshot 
as a prerelease. Please beat on the current release or that one and 
tell me what breaks. I now have access to Solaris boxes, so I will 
try to test out the scandir changes.
