Im trying to compile htdig 3.1.2 on my Slackware 3.4 box. configure runs
fine, but when I run "make" the below is what I get:

gcc -c  -DDEFAULT_CONFIG_FILE=\"/opt/www/htdig/conf/htdig.conf\" -I../htlib
-I../htcommon -I../db/dist -I../rx/rx -I../include -g -O2 Configuration.cc
In file included from /usr/include/g++/fstream.h:30,
                 from Configuration.cc:15:
/usr/include/g++/iostream.h:91: parse error before `__extension__'
/usr/include/g++/iostream.h:208: parse error before `__extension__'
make[1]: *** [Configuration.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/tmp/htdig-3.1.0/htlib'
make: *** [all] Error 1

In searching the mailing list archive, several other people have reported a
similar problem, but I couldn't find any responses, or ideas to fix it. It
would be greatly appreciated if someone could shed some light on the issue.
Thanks.
