[...] >> % sh -vx rundig -u "htdig:xxxxxx" >> + rundig -u htdig:xxxxxx >> /export/sunrise/httpd/htdig/bin/htmerge: illegal option -- u >> usage: htmerge [-v][-d][-w][-c configfile][-m merge_configfile] >> This program is part of ht://Dig 3.1.2 [...] "-u" is not an option to the rundig script, but to the indexer (htdig) only. The rundig script is just a simple way of putting some commands in sequence - nothing more. It simply passes *all* of the command line parameters to *every* program that is envoked by it, so htmerge will barf on the "-u" option, since it has no need for it. You will probably need a slightly modified version of rundig for your protected areas, i.e. where htdig is called with -u user:pass and which is only readable/executable to the maintainer of the site. hth, Torsten -- InWise - Wirtschaftlich-Wissenschaftlicher Internet Service GmbH Waldhofstrae 14 Tel: +49-4101-403605 D-25474 Ellerbek Fax: +49-4101-403606 E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Internet: http://www.inwise.de ------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from the htdig mailing list, send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the single word unsubscribe in the SUBJECT of the message.
