Hi Folks,
I have been running ht/Dig 3.1.1 on a BSDI 4.0 box for some time without
any problems. I have been hesitant to upgrade (If it ain't broke;)
AW, I complied 3.1.2 yesterday; gmake ran smoothly, but when I run
htsearch it dumps core:
$ htsearch -v
Memory fault (core dumped)
htdig and htmerge work without a problem; they create slightly larger DB
files and see a few more documents that 3.1.1 might have been missing;
furthermore, htsearch-3.1.1 searches DB's of htdig/merge-3.1.2 without a
problem.
I haven't changed anything in the OS or gcc; I can't see any reason for
the memory fault. I appreciate any pointers?
