ht://Dig doesn't care at all about frames--it's just another type of link.
What do you get when you turn on more debugging. From "it stops after
finding the server," I'd guess the server may have a robots.txt file or
some other server-configuration issue.
I'd try running it with -vvvv and see what sort of HTTP header info came
back.
