To uncompress and extract the source files for ht://Dig you will
need GNU tar and GNU gzip. They should also be available for Mac.
To compile the sources, you will need an ANSI C and C++ compiler,
such as GNU gcc along with GNU make for automatic build.
To run the configuration script you will also need a bash compatible
shell or you will have to write the Makefile and the configuration
header file yourself.
